The Clarkson Golden Knights are a Men's Division I and Women's Division I team in the ECAC Hockey League. The Golden Knights became an organized team in 1921, and are currently the winningest hockey team in NCAA history. Clarkson has appeared in the NCAA Tournament 18 times. "Let's Go Tech!" the cheer of Clarkson fans dates back to when Clarkson was originally known as the Clarkson College of Technology. The Women's Team was formed in 2003.
