Chris Greene (born September 24, 1985) is an American ice hockey center currently playing for the Wichita Thunder of the Central Hockey League (CHL). He represented the Wichita Thunder in 2009 CHL All-Star Game.

Playing career[]

Chris Greene made his professional debut in 2006 in the ECHL with the Reading Royals, assisting on four goals in nine games. His first full season came with the Arizona Sundogs during the 2006–07 season, where he had 25 points and 182 PIM in 63 games. Greene re-signed with the Sundogs for the 2007–08 season, recording 20 points in 28 games before he was traded on January 2, 2008 to the Wichita Thunder for Tyler Liebel.[1]

Greene started the 2008–09 season with the Wichita Thunder. He recorded 19 points in 23 games for the Thunder, including representing the Thunder in 2009 CHL All-Star Game. On January 22, 2009, Greene was traded again, this time to the Corpus Christi IceRays for Mike Zbriger.[2]

He recorded career-bests in the 2009–10 season with 16 goals, 35 assists, and 51 points while playing in 56 games for the Mississippi Surge of the SPHL.

Greene signed with the Wichita Thunder for the 2010–11 season, he had six goals and 18 assists in 66 games and was voted Thunder Lewis Street Glass Rattler of the Year.

On September 21, 2011, it was announced that Greene re-signed with the Wichita Thunder for the 2011–12 season.[3]
