Stadnyk attended the National Sport Academy while competing with the Calgary Flyers Midget AAA team. In her final season with the Flyers, she logged 49 points (21 goals and 28 assists) while appearing in only 29 games. In 2007, she participated with the Alberta U-18 team at the Canadian Championships.
In the autumn of 2008, she joined the Princeton Tigers and appeared in 31 games as a freshman. She earned her first career NCAA goal in the second game of her career, a win versus the Connecticut Huskies women's ice hockey program. For the season, she would accumulate 14 points, earned on six goals and eight assists. In her senior season (2011-12), Stadnyk was named the Princeton Tigers team captain. Stadnyk would end her career by appearing in 124 consecutive regular season contests for the Tigers. Stadnyk currently plays for Brampton in the CWHL.
