The Cape Cod Cubs are a Junior "A" ice hockey team from Hyannis, Massachusetts.[1] They are a member of the International Junior Hockey League and play in the New England Division of IJHL's Super Elite League.[2] The team plays at the new 1,500-seat Hyannis Youth and Community Center (HYCC).[3]

History[]

The team traces its roots back to the minor professional team, Cape Cod Cubs, that played in the region during the 1970s.[4] The current Cubs were founded in 2008 and joined the IJHL for the 2009-2010 season.[5] In their inaugural season the team finished first in the IJHL Super Elite League and won the IJHL Playoff Championship.
