The Cape Cod Bluefins were a minor professional hockey team in the Federal Hockey League based in Cape Cod. Home games were played at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center in Hyannis, Massachusetts.

They began play on October 28, 2011, the Cape Cod Bluefins are a result of a market study conducted by the Federal Hockey League during the end of the 2010-2011 regular season when they relocated the Broome County Barons to Cape Cod. The Barons franchise was owned by the Commissioner of the FHL, Don Kirnan.

On March 3, 2011 the Federal Hockey League franchise rights for Cape Cod were transferred to the Cape Cod Hockey Development Foundation.

The franchise had to cancel several games and finally suspended operations on December 15, 2012. They were temporarily replaced by a team called the Blues, which played in the cancelled games during December and the league created a traveling team call the New York Bluefins to take their place in the schedule.
