The Canadian Central Hockey League (CCHL) were a Senior-Intermediate hockey league operating in the Canadian provinces of Manitoba and Ontario plus the State of Minnesota. The League existed for 3 seasons from 1971 until 1974, and played its first two seasons under the sanction of the Thunder Bay Amateur Hockey Association, in partnership with the Manitoba Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA), and in affiliation with the Canadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). And during it’s last season, under the jurisdiction of the MAHA.

The League actually started it’s fourth season, St. Boniface traveled to Thompson for a double header with the Hawks to start the season. Then Warroad withdrew. Portage, who had replaced East Kildonan, reconsidered, and also withdrew. The MAHA suspended Warroad indefinitely, the CAHA upheld the ruling.
