Brian Harold McDonald (born March 23, 1945, Toronto, Ontario) is a former professional ice hockey centre. He played just twenty games in the National Hockey League with the Chicago Black Hawks and Buffalo Sabres. He also played several seasons in the World Hockey Association with the Houston Aeros, Los Angeles Sharks, Michigan Stags, Baltimore Blades, and Indianapolis Racers.

He played junior hockey for the St. Catharines Black Hawks in 1963-63 and 1964-65, scoring 108 points in that second season. Despite that season, he could not make the Chicago Blackhawks and played mostly minor pro after turning pro in 1965-66. Chicago did call him up for 8 playoff games in 1967-68.

In 1970-71 McDonald got another NHL chance when the expansion Buffalo Sabres called him up for 12 games. Again he failed to score a point.

In 1972 McDonald joined the Houston Aeros of the World Hockey Association (WHA) and score 20 goals in 1972-73. He followed that with 22 goals for the Los Angeles Sharks in 1973-74. McDonald continued to play in the WHA until he retired in 1977.

McDonald appeared in 304 WHA games in his career, scoring 90 goals and adding 100 assists.
