Brett Hextall (born April 2, 1988 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) is an American right winger playing for the Portland Pirates of the American Hockey League.

He played junior hockey for the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League, leading them to a championship in 2008. The Phoenix Coyotes drafted him 159th overall in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.

Hextall then went on to play for the University of North Dakota for three years. He scored 39 goals and 42 assists in 161 games.

In April, 2011, Hextall signed an entry-level contract with the Coyotes, foregoing his senior year at North Dakota.
