Brenda Andress is the Executive Director for the Canadian Women's Hockey League.
As CWHL Executive Director, she was involved in the first ever CWHL Draft, held in 2010. One of her biggest challenges as Executive Director included accepting the Team Alberta (CWHL) expansion team, based out of Calgary. The challenges included travel schedules, operations costs, and the aftermath from the dissolving of the Western Women's Hockey League. During the 2011–12 CWHL season, Andress was involved with publicity involving the CWHL Stick It to Cancer Event in Windsor, Ontario on November 26 and 27, 2011.
To help promote the 2012 Clarkson Cup, Andress participated in a Hot Stove Event on March 24 with former WNBA commissioner Val Ackerman, hockey author Elizabeth Etue, and Winter Games medallists Caroline Ouellette and Caitlin Cahow.
Andress was the former director of recreation for the Town of Newmarket, Ontario. She is also a former player and Level 6 referee. Andress has a company titled Passion Productions which provides team building and executive coaching. In addition, she has written a book titled 8 Minute Mind Workout.
