Brayden Ferguson is a Canadian women’s hockey player that competed for the Canadian National Team at the 2009 Winter Universiade
Playing career[]
In capturing the 2008 Brodrick Trophy, Ferguson was the first player from Atlantic University Sport to be given the honour. During the 2007-08 campaign, Ferguson led all CIS players in goals (25), assists (25) and points (50)[1] In addition, the X-Women team had a a perfect 21-0 regular season record to capture first place in the AUS standings. As team captain, she was first in the CIS with six game-winning scores and a +45 plus/minus rating.
During the 2007-08 AUS playoffs, she was named AUS championship MVP. In two playoff games, she logged three goals and three assists as the X-Women won their third conference title in four years.
After the 2007-08 season, she was the first player in AUS history to reach 50 point seasons on two occasions. In the first 79 games of her career, she accumulated 163 conference points (89-74-163).[2]

Ferguson played for the Burlington Barracudas in their final season.
Hockey Canada[]
In the first game of the 2009 Winter Universiade, Ferguson socred the first goal in an 11-0 win over Great Britain. Said goal was the first ever goal scored for Team Canada as women's hockey debuted at the Universiade. The puck was sent to the IIHF Hall of Fame as the first goal scored in FISU competition for Canada.[3]
