Boris Valábik (born February 14, 1986 in Nitra) is a Slovak professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Atlanta Thrashers of the National Hockey League (NHL).

Playing careerEdit

He was drafted 10th overall in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Atlanta Thrashers. After spending three seasons playing in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for the Kitchener Rangers, Valábik joined the Thrashers organization in 2006, spending the season with the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League (AHL). Valábik made his NHL debut during the 2007–08 NHL season and played seven games in all, scoring no points and collecting 42 penalty minutes. He also won the Calder Cup with Chicago.
