Bob Whitlock (born July 16, 1949 in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island) is a retired professional left wing who played 244 games in the World Hockey Association and one game in the National Hockey League. He played for the Chicago Cougars, Los Angeles Sharks, Indianapolis Racers, and Minnesota North Stars.
He started out in junior hockey with the Fredericton Red Wings, Halifax Canadiens, Kitchener Rangers, and the Edmonton Oil Kings. Undrafted, he was signed as a free agent by the Minnesota North Stars in 1969.
Whitlock played the only game of his NHL career on November 22, 1969 in the North Stars 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, but spent the rest of his time in the minors until 1972-73. That year he joined the Chicago Cougars of the World Hockey Association (WHA).
He spent the next three and a half seasons in the WHA, playing in 244 games and scoring a respectable 81 goals and 98 assists.
Whitlock played part of 1976-77 and all of 1977-78 in the North American Hockey League, He ended up his career for the senior Trail Smoke Eaters of the Western International Hockey League before retiring in 1981.
