Bobkirkpatrick

Bob Kirkpatrick (December 1, 1915 – 1988) was a professional ice hockey centre who played 49 games in the National Hockey League. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, he played with the New York Rangers.

He played junior hockey for the Regina Pats in 1933-34 and then played senior hockey for the Regina Aces, Prince Albert Mintos, Lethbridge Maple Leafs, and Flin Flon Bombers from 1934 to 1941. Also during that timespan he played in 1936-37 for the Earls Court Rangers in Great Britain.

The New York Rangers signed him in 1941 and brought him to the New York Rovers, where he scored 34 goals and 43 assists in 59 games. That earned him a promotion to the Rangers in 1942-43, where he scored 12 goals and 12 assists in 49 games.

Kirkpatrick then returned to Canada and joined the military for World War II. He played two seasons for the Winnipeg Army team from 1943 to 1945.

After the war, Kirkpatrick played for the St. Paul Saints and the the senior Lethbridge Maple Leafs. He retired in 1949.
