Bobgirard

Robert Girard (born April 12, 1949 in Montreal, Quebec) is a retired Canadian ice hockey left winger who played for the California Golden Seals, Cleveland Barons and Washington Capitals.

He was signed as a free agent from senior hockey by the California Golden Seals in 1973. Girard spent the next rwo seasons in the minor pros. In 1975-76 he scored 16 goals in his rookie year for the Seals. He moved with the team to the Cleveland Barons in 1976. In 1977 he was traded to the Washington Capitals for Walt McKechnie.

Girard played all of the 1978-79 season for the Capitals and spent 1979-80 with the Calder Cup-winning Hershey Bears. He retired in 1980.

He scored 45 goals and 69 assists in 305 games in his NHL career.
