Benjamin John Hankinson (born May 1, 1969 in Edina, Minnesota) is a retired ice hockey right winger who played 43 games in the National Hockey League for the New Jersey Devils and Tampa Bay Lightning between 1993 and 1995, scoring 3 goals and 3 assists.
He played for the University of Minnesota from 1987 to 1991 and was a First Team All-Star in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association in 1990. The New Jersey Devils chose him 107th overall in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft.
Hankinson turned pro in 1991-92 with the Utica Devils and saw action in 25 games for the Devils over 4 seasons. He was traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1994-95 and played in 18 games at the end of that season for them. In August, 1995, Hankinson was traded to the Detroit Red Wings but never played with them. He spent three years in the minors before retiring in 1998.
