Barry Smith (b. in 1950 in Buffalo, New York, United States) is a professional coach who is the current head coach of SKA St. Petersburg of the Continental Hockey League.
Smith enjoyed a long and fruitful career in the National Hockey League behind the benches of the Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, Detroit Red Wings, Phoenix Coyotes, every time as an assistant coach.
In 2008, Smith joined SKA St. Petersburg of the Continental Hockey League as head coach. He was nominated to the All-Star Game, coaching Team Jagr, made up of the best non-Russian players of the league.
