Ayla Frank is a goaltender with the Northeastern Huskies women's ice hockey program.

Playing careerEdit

She competed at the Rothesay Netherwood School in New Brunswick.[1] In her final year with Rothesay, she was an assistant captain. Frank participated with Team Newfoundland at the 2011 Canada Winter Games. On February 21, 2011, she stopped 52 shots from Team Saskatchewan in an opening day loss.[2]

Awards and honorsEdit

  • 2009 U-18 Canadian National Championships, MVP honors for Team Atlantic in the game against Ontario Red
  • Nike Sparq Hard Hat winner for Team Newfoundland at both the 2010[3] and 2007 Atlantic Challenge Cup

PersonalEdit

Her great uncle Irv Spencer played in the National Hockey League from 1959-1968. He participated in 230 regular season and 16 playoff games.
