Anton Klementyev (born March 25, 1990 in Togliatti, Russia) is a professional ice hockey defenseman for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). Klementyev made his NHL debut with the Islanders on March 27, 2010 against the Columbus Blue Jackets.[1] He was drafted by the Islanders in the 5th round (122nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.[1] Before joining the Islanders, he spent most of the season playing for the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League. He also played for Russia at the 2010 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships.[2]
