The 2017 Don Johnson Memorial Cup is the Maritime Junior B Championship tournament. This was the 30th time the event has been held dating back to the first event held in 1982. No event was held from 1991 to 1996. The tournament is being held at Willie O'Ree Place in Fredericton, New Brunswick from April 25-30, 2017. The tournament is being hosted by the Fredericton Caps of the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League.

The host team plus the league playoff champions of the Island Junior Hockey League, New Brunswick Junior Hockey League, Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League, and the St. John's Junior Hockey League meet in a round robin tournament. The top four teams qualify for the semifinals with the semifinal winners meeting for the tournament championship.

Just prior to the start of the tournament the host team annouced this would be their final games as the team was folding at the end of the 2016-17 season.
