This is the 2016-17 Ranchland Senior Hockey League season.  This is the league's 43rd season dating back to its founding for the 1974-75 season.

The league was shocked by the sudden lost of Gordon Campbell who was head coach of the Fort Macleod Mustangs on November 1st.  He died during a pre-game ceremony prior to the season opening home game against the Piikanai Regulators.
