link to league standings

The league has used the following format the past few years and it may be modified slightly due to the addition of two more teams

The top seed gets a "bye" to the first game of the second round.  Games 9 and 12 set up the first elimination and give the league champion a way back in the tournament if they lose their first game. The system is weighted to give the top seed a potential of winning the championship in 4 games while most of the seeds would have to win 6 games to win the championship.
