This is the 2016-17 Pacific Junior Hockey League season. This is the league's 51st season. The league was known as the Pacific International Junior Hockey League prior to 2011.
Membership changes
- The Langley Knights relocated to Surrey after the Vancouver Giants of the Western Hockey League relocated to Langley after briefly planning to play out of a smaller rink in Langley

Playoffs
Format
The playoffs are conference based. The top four teams in each conference qualify. In the conference semifinals seed 1 plays seed 4 and seed 2 plays seed 3. The semifinal winners play in the conference final. The conference final winners meet in the league final. All rounds are best-of-seven format. The playoff champion advances to the 2017 Cyclone Taylor Cup.
