This is the 2016-17 North West Senior Hockey League season.  This is the league's first season after receiving approval from Hockey Manitoba in the spring.

PlayoffsEdit

The league had announced on January 26th that all of the teams would qualify for the playoffs with the top two getting byes to the semifinals.  However, on March 1, 2017 the league announced that the OCN Blues would be ineligible for the playoffs due to a large number of cancelled games during the season.  The league then reduced the playoffs to the top four teams.  Both rounds are best of five series

SemifinalsEdit

  • Norway House defeated Cross Lake 3 games to none
  • Pegius defeated Fisher River 3 games to none
