This is the 2016-17 Long Lake Senior Hockey League season. This is the league's 39th season.
Membership Changes[]
- The Rosetown Red Wings left the league to join the Alberta-based Chinook Hockey League to play at the Senior AAA level. They will not participate in that league's playoffs. They are the only Senior AAA registered team in the province and will attempt to qualify for the 2017 Allan Cup in the Rathgaber Cup against the Manitoba Senior AAA Provincial champions. According to multiple published reports the 2018 Allan Cup has been awarded to Saskatchewan and the host must be a Senior AAA team for the 2016-17 season.
- The Nokomis Chiefs withdrew from the league
