This is the 2015-16 Nova Scotia Junior Hockey League season.  This is the leagues 10th season under this name and its' 36th season overall.  The league was previously known as the Mainland Junior B Hockey League from 1980 to 1992 and the Nova Scotia Junior B Hockey League from 1992 to 2006.

Playoffs[]

Format[]

The top four teams in each division qualify.  The first place team in each division plays the 4th place team and the 2nd place team plays the 3rd place team in the division semifinal round. The first round winners meet in the division final and the division winners meet for the league championship.  With the exception of the Fox Division preliminary round (which is best-of-three) all series are best-of-seven.  The playoff champion advances to the 2016 Don Johnson Memorial Cup.

Fox Division Preliminary Round[]

  • Cole Harbour Colts defeated Liverpool Privateers 2 games to 1 (5-3, 1-4, 4-3)

Rowe Division Semifinals[]

  • Glace Bay Jr. Miners defeated Cumberland County Blues 4 games to none (7-1, 4-1, 5-2, 7-0)
  • Pictou County Scotians defeated Strait Pirates 4 games to 2 (2-3, 6-4, 5-0, 3-4 (ot), 7-1, 5-3)

Fox Division Semifinals[]

  • Valley Maple Leafs defeated Cole Harbour Colts 4 games to 1 (5-4, 7-4, 3-6, 9-6, 7-2)
  • Sackville Blazers defeated East Hants Penguins 4 games to 1 (1-0, 8-0, 2-4, 3-1, 3-2)

Rowe Division Final[]
