This is the 2015-16 Keystone Junior Hockey League season.  This is the league's 43rd season overall and third under its' present name.  The league was previously known as the Manitoba Junior B Hockey League from 1974 to 2004.

In early November the league was hit with the death of Denis Baptiste of the Ebb and Flow First Nation..  He was in his fourth season in the league. He had played for Ste Rose Royals for 2012-13 and then for the Peguis Juniors from 2013-2015.

Baldy Northcott Trophy PlayoffsEdit

FormatEdit

All teams qualify for the playoffs.  The 4th place team plays the 5th place team in a best-of-three survivor series.  The winner becomes the 4th seed and plays the 1st seed in the best-of-five division semifinals and the 2nd seed plays the 3rd seed.  The division semifinal winners meet in the best-of-seven division final.  The division winners meet in the best-of-seven league championship.

North Division Survivor SeriesEdit

  • Norway House North Stars defeated Fisher River Hawks 2 games to 1 (15-10, 5-6, 1-0 (forfeit))

South Division Survivor SeriesEdit

  • Arborg Ice Dawgs defeated North Winnipeg Satelites 2 games to 1 (6-3, 3-7, 8-3)

North Division SemifinalsEdit

  • Peguis Juniors defeated Norway House North Stars 3 games to none (12-4, 15-1, 10-1)
  • OCN Storm defeated Cross Lake Islanders 3 games to 1 (9-3, 10-7, 3-4, 9-5)

The Peguis Juniors advance to the 2016 Keystone Cup being held in Regina, Saskatchewan.
