This is the 2015-16 ECAC Northeast season.  This will be the conference's last season under this name.  The conference is scheduled to be renamed the Colonial Coast Conference for the 2016-17 season.  The New England Nor'Easters will also be joining the renamed conference from the New England Hockey Conference.

Membership ChangesEdit

  • The Endicott Gulls join the conference upon elevating men's and women's ice hockey to varsity status

Conference TournamentEdit

FormatEdit

The top six teams qualify for the conference tournament.  All rounds are single elimination.  In the quarterfinals the 3rd seed plays the 6th seed and the 4th seed plays the 5th seed.  The teams are re-seeded for the semifinals.  The 1st seed plays the 4th seed and the 2nd seed plays the 3rd seed in the semifinals.  The semifinal winners meet in the conference championship.  The conference winner earns the conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.

QuaterfinalsEdit

  • Nichols defeated Becker 5-0
  • Salve Regina defeated Johnson & Wales 2-0
  • Wentworth defeated Suffolk 4-3 (ot)

SemifinalsEdit

  • Endicott defeated Wentworth 4-0
  • Salve Regina defeated Nichols 3-0

The Salve Regina Seahawks earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2016 NCAA Division III Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.
