The 2014 Hockey East Tournament was held from Febraury 28 to March 9, 2014. The tournament semifinal and final rounds are beiing held at the Hyannis Youth and Community Center (HYCC) in Hyannis, Massachusetts. This is the third consecutive the facility hosted the event.
All eight team qualified for the tournament. The tournament used a single elimination formant.
Quarterfinals[]
The games were held on February 28th and March 1st on campus sites
- 1 Boston College defeated #8 New Hampshire, 8 to 1
- 2 Boston University defeated #7 Providence, 3 to 2
- 3 Northeastern defeated Connecticut, 2 to 1
- 4 Vermont defeated #5 Maine, 3 to 2 in triple overtime
Semifinals[]
The games were held March 8th at the HYCC
- 1 Boston College defeated #5 Vermont 3 to 1
- 2 Boston University defeate #3 Northeastern 3 to 2
Final[]
March 9th at the HYCC
- 2 Boston University defeated #1 Boston College 3 to 2
The winning team is presented with the Bertagna Trophy and gets an automatic bid in the 2014 NCAA Division I Women's Tournament.
