The 2014 Esso Cup was a midget girls hockey tournament contested in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The host franchise was the Stoney Creek Sabres. Other participating teams included the Edmonton Thunder, Fraser Valley, Moncton Rockets, Sudbury Wolves and Weyburn Gold Wings. In the gold medal game, the Weyburn Gold Wings defeated the Edmonton Thunder by a 2-1 score with Bailee Bourassa credited as scoring the game winning goal. [1]. The Sudbury Wolves bested the Sabres by a 3-2 score for the bronze medal[2].
