This is the 2014-15 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League season.  This was the league's 47th season.

Canalta Cup PlayoffsEdit

FormatEdit

The top ten teams in the league standings qualify for the playoffs.  The top 6 teams get a first round bye and the 7th seed plays the 10th seed and the 8th seed plays the 9th seed in best-of-five series. The first round winners are re-seeded 7th and 8th.  The balance of the tournament is best-of-seven.

First RoundEdit

  • Weyburn defeated Humboldt 3 games to 1 (0-4, 5-1, 2-0, 3-1
  • Battleford defeated Estevan 3 games to 2 (2-3, 2-1, 5-4, 2-3, 5-2)

QuarterfinalsEdit

  • Melfort defeated Weyburn 4 games to 1 (4-3, 6-0, 6-1, 2-3 (ot), 6-1)
  • Kindersley defated Battlefords 4 games to none (9-0, 3-2 (2ot), 6-2, 4-0)
  • Nipawin defeated Melville 4 games to 2 (4-2, 0-3, 1-2, 4-3, 6-5 (ot), 4-0)
  • Notre Dame defeated Flin Flon 4 games to 3 (6-3, 5-6 (ot), 3-2, 1-4, 6-3, 1-7, 3-2 (ot))

SemifinalsEdit

  • Melfort defeated Nipawin 4 games to 1 (2-3 (ot), 4-3, 7-6 (ot), 5-4 (ot), 7-2)
  • Notre Dame defeated Kindersley 4 games to 2 (3-2 (ot), 5-1, 0-3, 3-2, 2-4, 4-3 (ot))

The  Canalta Cup champion Melfort Mustangs advance to the 2015 Western Canada Cup and are also awarded the Hanbidge Cup as Provincial Junior A Champions.
