This is the 2014-15 Avalon East Senior Hockey League season.
The league is one of two senior leagues in the province. The AEHL is registered as Senior B with Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador. The league made a request to compete for the Herder Memorial Trophy against the province's only other registered senior league, the Senior A registered Central/West Senior Hockey League, with the allowance that the league's champion be allowed to bring in a few more players. The plan did not materialize however due to the expense of putting the team together and traveling for the series.
