The 2012 NCAA Men's Division I Ice Hockey Tournament will involve 16 schools in single-elimination play to determine the national champion of men's NCAA Division I college ice hockey. The tournament will begin on March 23, 2012, and end with the championship game on April 7.[1]

Tournament procedureEdit

The four regionals are officially named after their geographic areas. The following are the sites for the 2012 regionals:[1]

March 23 and 24
East Regional, Arena at Harbor Yard - Bridgeport, Connecticut (Hosts: Yale University and Fairfield University)
West Regional, Xcel Energy Center - St. Paul, Minnesota (Host: University of Minnesota)
March 24 and 25
Midwest Regional, Resch Center - Green Bay, Wisconsin (Host: Michigan Technological University)
Northeast Regional, DCU Center - Worcester, Massachusetts (Host: College of the Holy Cross)

Each regional winner will advance to the Frozen Four:[1]

April 5 and 7
