The 2011–12 ECAC Division III women's ice hockey season marked the continuation of the annual tradition of competitive ice hockey among ECAC members.

  • November 11: The University of Southern Maine appointed four seniors to serve as captains for the 2011-12 season. Coach John Lauziere (in his sixth season) named Joanna Gaube, Christen Hart, Bridget Mini and Jana Sacco as captains. It will be the second consecutive season that Gaube will serve as a captain.[1]

DecemberEdit

  • December 6: Nichols College player Mandy Manopla made program by becoming the first to pass the 50-point mark. She achieved it after she scoring a hat trick as part of a four-point game at Plymouth State.[2]
  • December 7: Julie Fortier became the all-time goal-scoring leader for Norwich University women's hockey. She set the school record in a 5-0 victory over Holy Cross. At the 12:35 mark of the first period, she scored the the 73rd goal of her career to break Sophie Leclerc’s career record. Fortier scored two goals and added an assist.[3]
  • December 9: Nichols College head coach Guy Angers announced his resignation. Assistant Coach Kyle Daly has been promoted to Head Coach.[4]
