The 2009–10 Tampa Bay Lightning season will be the 18th season for the Lightning franchise.

Off-season Edit

On May 25, 2010, the Lightning announced Hall of Fame player and former Detroit Red Wings executive Steve Yzerman as their new general manager. He hired Guy Boucher, coach of the AHL Hamilton Bulldogs, as the new head coach on June 9, 2010.[1]The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed Goaltender Dan Ellis to a 2 year $3 million dollar contract
