The 2007-08 Tampa Bay Lightning season began October 4, 2007. It is the Tampa Bay Lightning's 15th season in the National Hockey League.

Key dates prior to the start of the season:

• The 2007 NHL Entry Draft took place in Columbus, Ohio on June 22-23.
• The free agency period began on July 1.
• On August 25, 2007, the Lightning unveiled changes to their logo, and new home and road jerseys.^[1]
