The 2005 Midwest Regional of the NCAA Tournament took place on March 25 and 26, 2005, at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The regional was hosted by Western Michigan University.

Michigan was the CCHA champion. Colorado College, Wisconsin, and Colgate all recieved at-large bids to the NCAA Tournament.

The semifinal winners, Colorado College and Michigan, met on March 26. The Wolverines took a 3-0 lead in the second period before Colorado College scored 4 unanswered goals in the second and third period, winning the Midwest Regional and advancing to the 2005 Frozen Four in Columbus, Ohio.
