The 2005-06 Las Vegas Wranglers season was the Las Vegas Wranglers third season in the ECHL. The regular season began on October 25, 2005 against the Utah Grizzlies and concluded on April 8, 2006 against the Phoenix Roadrunners. The Wranglers looked to rebound from a disappointing sophomore season in which they finished in front of only the expansion Victoria Salmon Kings.

During the regular season, the Wranglers set franchise records in wins (53), points (114), goals for (267), and fewest goals against (176) on their way to the second best record in the league, finishing only one point behind division rival Alaska for the West Division title and the Brabham Cup. It was the first year that the Wranglers broke the 100-point plateau in team hisstory. During the playoffs, the Wranglers defeated the Idaho Steelheads in seven games in the West Division Semifinals after falling behind three games to one, but were stumped by Alaska again falling in six games in the West Division Finals.
