Drayton Valley again jumped from the Chinook League to the NCHL bringing the total to five teams. Slave Lake, Drayton Valley and Hinton all jockeyed for the leagues top spot, with Slave Lake narrowly winning out. Slave Lake defeated Jasper in one semi final series, while Drayton Valley and Hinton battled it out in the other, with Drayton Valley moving on to meet Slave Lake in the league finals. Slave Lake emerged the winner, taking home their 4th straight, and 5th overall NCHL championship. Slave Lake then went on to win the Alberta Senior A provincial championship.
