This was the 2003 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference hockey tournament.  The tournament was held from March 15th to 23rd, 2003.  The tournament winning team received the conference's automatic bid to the 2003 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.  This was the conferences last tournament under MAAC banner as Fairfield and Iona discontinued their hockey programs.  The remaining nine programs formed the Atlantic Hockey Association which began play during  the 2003-04 season.

FormatEdit

The top eight (out of eleven) teams in the league standings qualified for the single elimination tournament. Teams were reseeded after the quarterfinal round.  The quarterfinals games were held at the home rink of the higher seeded team.  The semifinal and final rounds were held at the Tate Rink in West Point, New York; the home of the Army Black Knights.
