In the 2002-03 NHL season, 75 hat tricks were scored during the 1,230-game regular season and one was scored in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Overall, the Colorado Avalanche led all teams in hat tricks with 6, while Marian Gaborik, Marian Hossa and Alexander Mogilny each had 3 to lead all skaters.
