The 2001 IIHF World Women Championships Pool B qualification tournament were held between March 22-March 26, 2000. Eight teams attempted to gain the single qualification place at the tournament held in Szekesfehervar and Dunaujvaros in Hungary. North Korea won the tournament and proceeded to the main Pool B championship.
