1999 Frozen Four

The 1999 Frozen Four was held April 1-3, 1999, at Arrowhead Pond in Anaheim, California. This was the first "Final Four" tournament to officially be called the Frozen Four, though the previous editions would be retroactively renamed. The host school, the University of Alaska-Anchorage, was hundreds of miles away from the tournament site.

The Maine Black Bears won their second national championship, in an all-Hockey East final, defeating New Hampshire, 3-2 in overtime.
