Franchise Changes[]
- The Thunder Bay Thunder Hawks were renamed the Thunder Bay Senators when the team affiliated with the NHL Ottawa Senators.
- The Flint Bulldogs relocated to Utica, NY and were renamed the Utica Bulldogs
- The Flint Generals were added as an expansion team replacing the departed Flint Bulldogs
