This is the 1992-93 Central Collegiate Hockey Association season.  This was the league's twenty-second season.

Membership changesEdit

  • Notre Dame rejoin the conference after playing as a Division I Independent since 1984
  • Kent State joins the conference
  • Alaska-Fairbanks join the conference as an affiliate member (they will join the conference as a full member in 1995)

  • Miami defeated Ohio State two games to none, 8-2, 7-2
  • Michigan defeated Notre Dame two games to none, 13-2, 8-1
  • Lake Superior defeated Illinois-Chicago two games to none, 7-2, 4-2
  • Michigan State defeated Kent State two games to none, 6-5, 5-2
  • Bowling Green defeated Western Michigan two games to none, 5-4, 6-3
  • Ferris State defeated Alaska-Fairbanks two games to none, 8-6, 7-2

Second RoundEdit

  • Lake Superior defeated Bowling Green 7 to 1
  • Ferris State defeated MIchigan State 3 to 2

SemifinalsEdit

  • Miami defeated Ferris State 4 to 3 in overtime
  • Lake Superior defeated Michigan 5 to 3

FinalEdit

  • Lake Superior defeated Miami 3 to 0

NCAA TournamentEdit

Lake Superior

  • defeated Minnesota-Duluth 4 to 3 in the quarterfinals
  • defeated Boston University 6 to 1 in the semifinals
  • lost to Maine 5 to 4 in the National Championship game

Michigan

  • defeated Wisconsin 4 to 3 in overtime time the quarterfinals
  • lost to Maine 4 to 3 in overtime in the semifinals

Miami

  • lost to Wisconsin 3 to 1 in the first round
