In the 1991-92 NHL season, 101 hat tricks were scored during the 880-game regular season and 11 were scored in the 86 playoff games of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Overall, the Pittsburgh Penguins led all teams with 14 hat tricks and Brett Hull led all players with 8.
