The 1980-81 Ottawa District Intermediate Playoffs were won by the Bridalwood Cougars. They lost to Quebec champion, the Louiseville Bellemares in the quarterfinal round of the 1980-81 Eastern Canada Intermediate Playoffs, three games to two.

Round-robin was cancelled and the Rockland Rangers were suspended when they failed to show up for a game against Prescott. The championship became a best-of-three series between Bridlewood and Prescott. The Cougars' 9-0 win over the Canadians in the round-robin was counted in the series.
