The 1979 Canada Winter Games Hockey Tournament took place in February 1979 in Brandon, Manitoba. All players are "amateur" junior hockey players.

The Bramalea Blues Jr. B team represented Ontario as winners of the 1978 Ontario Winter Games Hockey Tournament. The Gatineau Ambassadeurs Jr. B team represented Quebec.
