The top 2 teams from each Division would advance to the Playoffs. An additional 2 wild cards would also advance and would be selected by a 3 person committee: President of AUAA Hockey - Rev. George Kehoe (St. FX), Secretary of the AUAA,- Ken Fultie and AUAA Men's Hockey Technical Committee Chairman - Robert Hayes. The Wild Card selections would play the cross-over Division #2 in a single elimination game hosted by the #2 seed. The winners would advance to the Semi-finals.
