The 1974–75 Pittsburgh Penguins season was the franchise's 8th season in the National Hockey League. It was the Penguins first season in the Norris Division of the Prince of Wales Conference. The team finished 3rd in the Norris and qualified for the playoffs for the third time in franchise history. After defeating the St. Louis Blues in the Preliminary round, the Penguins lost in the Quarter-finals to the New York Islanders 4 games to 3 after winning the first three games of the series.
