The 1972-73 Ottawa District Intermediate Playoffs were won by the Embrun Panthers. They defeated the Northern Ontario champion, Lively Cyclones two games to none in the quarterfinal round. They defeated the OHA champion, Georgetown Raiders two games to one in the semi-final round. They were defeated by New Brunswick champion and eventual national champion, St. John Moosehead Patriots two games to one (losing the deciding game in OT).
